Every society has different attire for the wedding. They not only depend on religion but also the social culture and traditions. For example the south Asian style is totally different from the western wedding dresses. In South Asia especially in Pakistan and India the groom wants to be looked shiny and sparkling with the heavy red dress having delicate embroidery of golden and silver color and a beautiful makeover. Along with the wedding dress she also has to wear golden jewelry to be looked shinier. Similarly, the groom wears an embroidered gown. In western attire the bride wears a long gown whereas a groom wears a suit with the jacket. In a Pakistani wedding the wedding prolonged for three days, each day having different function. So the bride and the groom have to select dresses for all these functions.

Traditionally, red color is considered for the bride’s wedding dress in eastern culture while white dress is selected for brides in western society. Today there are a variety of colors and tones available for the wedding dresses which are selected depending upon the skin tone and color of the bride. Nowadays the dress designers are producing a fusion of both the western and eastern trends for the wedding dresses keeping in view the customs and traditions of the society.

The wedding dress is the most expensive dress ever worn by the bride and groom but it is only worn once on the occasion of their wedding. The best thing to do with the wedding dress is to donate or sell it to someone else.
